Born & Bred in the Midwest! On a visit to our ancestral homeland of Nigeria, our family rediscovered a favorite -- "Kilishi" – this hand-cut, sun-dried, 100% natural delicacy is enjoyed by millions in Nigeria. Led by Mama – we are doing our best to bring this delicacy back to the Midwest! It is our heartfelt belief that if you are looking for a protein-rich healthy snack (or in our case JUST protein) you can breathe easy and enjoy Mama's Beef Jerky!

Meet the Man!

Welcome to my page! Here's a little bit about me:

Early Life

I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Indiana. Growing up in the Midwest instilled in me a strong work ethic, a love for community, and an appreciation for the simple joys in life.

Journey

After my 8th grade year, my father took my family overseas to our native country in Nigeria. There, we experienced a different perspective of life. There was a sense of unity and community in the area we stayed and everyone helped each other. We discovered kilishi and appreciated the bold and flavorful snack. We realized it tasted so good because it gets sun-dried. We came back to the States to continue our education and share our experience.

Education

My academic journey led me to Indiana University, where I pursued a degree in Technology. My time at Indiana University was transformative, providing me with a robust foundation in technical skills and critical thinking. The rigorous curriculum and supportive environment helped shape my professional aspirations and equipped me with the tools needed to excel in the ever-evolving field of technology.

Personal Development

Beyond academics, I am deeply committed to personal development. I believe that growth is a continuous process, and I strive to improve myself every day. Whether it's through reading, attending workshops, or seeking new experiences, I am always looking for ways to enhance my skills and broaden my horizons.

Exposure to Business

My journey has also led me to explore the world of business. Understanding what it means to provide exceptional service and creating value for others has become a passion of mine. I am fascinated by the dynamics of business operations and the strategies that drive success. This exposure has allowed me to develop a keen sense of what it takes to thrive in a competitive environment. My family and I put our heads together and decided to recreate the famous Nigerian kilishi here in the States. The turnout was better than expected so we applied our knowledge, experience and skills and started this business. We named the business after our mother, the chef behind the delicious tasting snack.
